About Us

We are a quarterly print magazine, created to inspire and connect the contemporary fiber arts and textiles community. We feature the most compelling work, ideas, and craftsmanship in the world of contemporary fiber arts and textiles. Fiber Art Now is a vibrant and growing community. We invite you to join us. You can subscribe online, by phone at 818-286-3151, or find single copies in over 400 Barnes & Noble stores and 200 Books A Million stores in the US 200+ Chapter/Indigo  Stores in Canada, and select newsstands in the United Kingdom. Find a store or newsstand near you.

The roots of Fiber Art Now lie in an online fiber arts magazine, started in Spring, 2009. The website and the surrounding community grew steadily. The online magazine eventually outgrew its web presence, and the fiber arts community seemed  hungry for a print magazine that could offer the community much more inspiration, connection, and support than a web site could. Thus, Fiber Art Now was launched in Fall of 2011.

Each member of the Fiber Art Now team is committed to our mission of inspiring and connecting the fiber arts community, driven by their love of fiber arts, design, and publishing. The release of each issue marks a new standard for our growth as a publication and an organization, as we roll out more features and new ideas to our readers. We now offer a digital edition, too!

Thank you for being part of this community. You are the driver behind the decisions we make at Fiber Art Now.  Your thoughts and opinions shape the direction of each issue, and help to refine the information, ideas, artists, and trends that we feature.

Judy! You are the very, very first subscriber to let us know that you received their copy!! I’m so very glad that you like it. That being said, we have already hired a designer, and our plans for the next issue include almost 10 more pages of fiber goodness! Thank you so much for leaving this comment, Judy.

I saw your Premier Issue at my FAN (Fiber Arts Network) group Christmas meeting today. Very impressive! I would like to subscribe. The person who showed us her copy said that she got a “deal”, because she subcribed early. Are you offering any initiatives for new subscribers?

    • December 19, 2011 at 12:25 am #

I’m so glad you liked the magazine! We offered a free premier issue for new subscribers in early fall, but don’t have that deal anymore. However, I’m sending you an email separately, so please watch for it. Thank you! Best, FAN

Do you include much basket making in your magazine?

  9. August 31, 2012 at 6:58 am #

Gail, we have three dimensional work in each issue. Often it’s contemporary basketry.

Poor old crochet! It always gets left to be in the “and more.”

    • November 10, 2012 at 10:50 am #

Annie, Good point! We love crochet, and don’t want it left to the ‘and more’ category! 🙂

Can we have access to the table of contents for this issue?

    • January 4, 2013 at 12:11 am #

What a great idea! We’re going to print tomorrow, so I’ll have the designer post a pdf of the T of C. Watch this space! Best, FAN

    • January 11, 2013 at 10:07 pm #

As a matter of fact, we’re going to appear in select Chapters stores. We should have that list on the site within the next two weeks. Stay tuned!
